The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion is a canceled action RPG in The Elder Scrolls series that was planned for release on the PSP, based on the main Oblivion game, released in 2006 for PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. The game was developed in 2005/2006 by Climax Group London (former Syrox Developments, Kingston upon Thames, UK) with assistance from Climax Group Los Angeles, with new characters, an inventory system, a combat system, levels, and other features exclusive to the PSP version. Because of the hardware limitations of the Playstation Portable, Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion was going to be a more linear game than the original Bethesda Game Studios version. There was a hub world with various vendors, NPCs, and story characters, and the player would have used a teleportation crystal to travel to each of the game’s explorable areas. The game, however, was never released. There was never an official reason for its cancellation or official confirmation that it was canceled. Bethesda Softworks has declined to comment on the situation. On May 17, 2016, footage and beta builds of the game from June 2006 and January 2007 were leaked. ZeniMax removed the footage, but it was quickly restored.
