AFL Challenge is an AFL-themed sports game for the PlayStation Portable. Wicked Witch Software in Australia created the game, which Tru Blu Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment distributed.[1] The game schedule is based on the 2009 AFL season and includes all official AFL teams and a pre-determined best 22-player lineup for each team, whose positions cannot be changed. AFL Challenge allows players to compete throughout the entire season, including the Grand Final. It has a team management system where players can learn skills like kicking, tackling, and running. According to Sony, this will allow strategic decisions to be made as the player progresses through the season by training key individuals. The game also has a quick match mode, which can be accessed from the main menu, and a season mode. Numerous camera angles exist in the options menu while playing the game. Camera angles range from near the player to huge zooms covering most of the stadium. Each player is wholly animated, kicking, sprinting, tackling, handballing, or marking whether they are successful.
