Bust-a-Move Deluxe

Bust-a-Move Deluxe is the franchise’s second game to be released on the PSP. Players launch bubbles of various colors from the bottom of the screen, matching at least three like colors to clear areas of the field before it is forced down. This version includes 300 puzzles in Classic mode and several additional ways. Bubbles in Ghost mode pass through any item until they meet a wall, at which point they stick to another orb. A heart meter rises whenever you fail to clear a set of bubbles. The game is done when it reaches five. When you remove many bubbles, a ghost will emerge on the opponent’s screen, concealing the colors. There are also eight Challenge Puzzle modes, each with six rounds, that add extra strategy by balancing the board, hiding colors for a while, placing a cannon on a horizontally moving conveyor belt, varying colors, single-shot puzzles, distorted time and speed, or focusing on skill shots by playing for points. Multiplayer mode is also available. In addition to the well-known characters Bub, Bob, Monsta, and Dorank, there are six new playable characters and unlockables, including Goon, Chicken, Banebow, and Propella.
