Jet de GO! Pocket is the third entry in Taito’s flight simulation series for Sony consoles and the first to be released on the PSP. Jet de GO!, the first entry in the series, was released on PlayStation in 2000, and its successor, simply titled “Jet de GO! 2”, was released on PlayStation 2 in 2002. The game, like its predecessors, allows the user to sit in the captain’s seat of a commercial airplane flying to and from critical Japanese cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, and Sapporo. The game includes a range of planes, including the Boeing B747, B777, and B767, as well as various weather and daytime conditions and flight plans. The player can select one of three game modes: Flight, Trial, or Replay. Because the game is supported by Japan Airlines, a real-world airline, it is not feasible to “crash” an aircraft. Collisions with the ground are depicted simply lane simply stopped it hits the ground, resulting in a “Game Over” screen. Even though the game was only launched in Japan, it has some English menus.
