The highly regarded The Show baseball game series from Sony is back with a new installment for 2010. The realistic baseball simulator adds many new features and addresses many of the shortcomings of the version from 2009, including enhancements to online gaming. Note that the only type of internet compatibility available in the PSP version of this game is ad-hoc. In MLB 10: The Show, for the first time in the series, you can experience baseball from the perspective of the player who wears the catcher’s mask. You may handle the game like Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer, featured on the cover of this edition, by using the brand-new Catcher mode, which allows you to call pitches from behind the plate. The Homerun Derby also makes its way back into the series, this time appearing as a solo mode and as an event that can be had during the All-Star Break. It is essential not to overlook the Movie Maker mode, which enables you to compile several stored game replays into a highlight reel that can be saved to your hard drive. Additionally, it is essential not to overlook the upgraded Road to the Show 4.0, which includes additional setup options and statistical features.
