NBA 2K10, the next installment in the NBA 2K series, expands existing game modes, delivers roster upgrades, and introduces various new online-linked elements designed to increase the game’s realism. 2K10 has an upgraded player-creation system that incorporates, in addition to basic physical and aesthetic options, inclinations, attitudes, dribble and dunk styles, and signature techniques. Constructed players can be used in the new “My Player” simulation mode, where the constructed basketballer progresses from an undrafted rookie to an NBA All-Star. This mode is an accurate simulation, and players who enter it must choose a position on their team and are expected to play it precisely, unselfishly, and without deviation (no prowling the court looking for dunks and flashy superstardom). Download the NBA 2K10 Draft Combine game for Xbox360 and PS3 to create a player and give him a head start on abilities in My Player mode. Players may also organize online crews and participate in pick-up games that do not interfere with the character’s schedule but still earn experience points. The sim feature “The Association” has been enhanced, allowing users to control and manage all 30 NBA clubs simultaneously, track the realistic advancement of generated players, share bespoke draft classes, and drive new developmental league teams. Internet-connected consoles can receive real-time updates via the “NBA Today” function. This module adjusts rosters and stats to match changes in the actual NBA (including trades and injuries), all the way down to providing date-specific color commentary based on when the game is played. Other changes include improved dribbling and defensive controls, lockdown defense, a new stamina system, 24 active play calls, and the ability to save progress in the middle of a game and resume it later.
