This collection simulates eight classic Gottlieb pinball tables and two novelty games. It includes machines ranging from the crude Play-Boy of 1932 (pinball without flippers) to the Caddyshack-inspired Tee’d Off of 1993, with LED display and voice samples. Except for Play-Boy, every table is available for free play. While playing each table, you can strive to achieve table-specific goals that unlock other features such as Tournament Mode or a novelty game such as Xolten. For example, in Black Hole, the goal is to unlock multiball mode and the lower playfield special. Each table attempts to recreate the look and feel of the original game, from the artwork to the original sound effects. You can see the scoreboard reflected on the table glass and hear arcade background noises, including sound effects from classic videogames like Galaga, to get the whole arcade experience. Each table also includes instructions on the table’s main features and a bit of history. Other historical artifacts include a still photo tour of the Gottlieb factory (a feature which must be unlocked). Play-Boy (1932), Ace High (1954), Central Park (1966), Big Shot (1973), Genie (1979), Black Hole (1981), Goin’ Nuts (1983), El Dorado City of Gold (1984), Victory (1987), and Tee’d Off (1993) are the complete list of tables (1995). There are also two novelty machines, Love Meter and Xolten.
