Puzzle Chronicles

Puzzle Chronicles is a casual game that blends item-matching puzzles with RPG aspects such as character growth and a fantasy storyline. This is similar to Infinity’s previous products Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords and Puzzle Kingdoms. The puzzle portion of the game is played on a board with a vertical divider line in the center. The goal is to move the divider line backward, reducing the opponent’s area until no further moves are permitted. This is accomplished by arranging groups of three gems in like colors along the divider line. These groups are placed horizontally on the board. The divider line is pushed back by shattering fury stones. There are also unique skills and a Warbeast companion that assaults the enemy if a particular number of gems of a specific color have been eliminated. Removing rocks also allows the player to gather mana, power spells, and goods, which can be used to attack the opponent and take up less board area. There are five mini-games in addition to the main puzzle game, ranging from upgrading the Warbeast companion to making new things, all while traveling various terrain and performing easy objectives.
