As a result of the Generations System, which is essentially a master computer that controls all of time and space, going haywire, all of the Gundam universes are bleeding into each other in the prequel titled “G Generation World.” This causes all of the Gundam universes to be thrown into a blender, which results in all of the Gundam universes colliding with one another. Overworld begins where World left off, with several different factions having failed in their attempts to destroy Earth (the source of the “World Signal” in the Generations System), which is where the story begins. We discover the reason for this in the game itself, as the security mechanism of the Generations System was compromised, which led to the system’s failure and caused both time and space to behave irrationally. In the meantime, the Gundam Universes are essentially forced into an endless war in which events from their canons bleed into other principles. They are trapped in this cycle until the World Signal stops messing up reality. This war will continue as long as the World Signal continues to mess with reality. Until that point, death is relatively cheap, and anyone who passes away is brought back for yet another round of insane crossover insanity.
