Renegade Squadron is an all-new project in the Battlefront saga developed specifically for the PlayStation Portable. It is planned to offer an all-new storyline in the single-player version of the game, in addition to incredibly robust PSP multiplayer options. The “Renegade Squadron,” a previously unknown organization that consisted of some of the most dangerous criminals in the galaxy, serves as the backdrop for the plot of this video game. As the story progresses, players will discover how Han Solo recruited and formed his squad, as well as how he made use of their considerable skills to complete objectives in Korriban’s Valley of the Sith, the stony remnants of Alderaan, and the scorching ashes of the volcanic planet, Sullust. In addition to its single-player story missions, Renegade Squadron features an infrastructure mode that supports up to sixteen players competing against one another (ad hoc mode only supports eight players). This mode features a unique spending system allowing players to purchase custom kits with more than a million combinations using 100 points. These kits can then be used to create original Star Wars characters.
