Following political upheaval in the early twenty-first century, the world’s leaders have fallen, and natural resources have diminished. This causes the global economy to crash and sparks a series of brutal battles in a world where the least fortunate struggle for existence and live for one reason… illicit racing. Racing machines with highly sophisticated morphing abilities engage in illegal underground races worldwide in StateShift. Drivers compete against up to fifteen other racers in nine tournaments. The titular state shifts are exceptional power-ups that the player can get. With names like “Dragster,” “Ghost,” “Mamouth,” and “Scorch,” they can be utilized to go quicker or take sharper turns, but they must be recharged by picking up energy cells on the tracks. The game has several modes, including Career Mode, which allows you to unlock new tournaments, tracks, characters, state shifts, Time Trials, Challenges, Quick Races, and lessons. The game also has a Wi-Fi multiplayer option.
