Senj no Valkyria 3: Unrecorded Chronicles (3 Senj no Varukyuria? ), also known as Valkyria Chronicles III, is a PlayStation Portable tactical role-playing game developed and published by Sega. It is the third game in the Valkyria Chronicles series, and it was released exclusively in Japan on January 27, 2011. On November 23, 2011, an expanded version of the Extra Edition game was released in Japan. The game’s opening song (Moshimo Kimi ga Negauno Nara?) is performed by Japanese singer May’n. Valkyria Chronicles III is a side story during the Imperial invasion of 1935 and follows the exploits of an unwanted and chastised Gallian Army squad. Valkyria Chronicles III explores the themes of being an outcast and the search for redemption, in contrast to the previous games’ bright outlook and recognition of their protagonists. The play tells “the story of nameless soldiers who, on the verge of despair, changed history,” according to its tagline. Sega did not officially translate the game into English, making it the first in the series. However, in December 2013, an unofficial fan translation for the Extra Edition was released.
