Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble

This game differs from previous incarnations because it borrows gameplay from the Super Smash Bros. series. The game features the main heroes, Joe, Captain Blue, and Silvia, as well as many others, as well as a group of villains fighting each other in a series of battles in a variety of environments, including a construction site, a warehouse, and a wrestling ring, to name a few. Captain Blue is preparing to film a new film, but he can’t decide who will play the lead character, so he organizes a tournament for the heroes to decide. The player controls one of three heroes as they battle various enemies, with each stage having its own set of objectives to complete to progress. There is also a party mode that can accommodate up to four different players in a full-fledged brawl. Throughout the fight, players can collect “VFX Orbs,” which allow them to use a VFX power on their opponent (s). The PSP port is nearly identical but with exclusive content, such as a single-player Trial Mode in which the player competes in a series of mini-games, the ability to play as Dante from the Devil May Cry series, and a game sharing feature that allows players to play wirelessly using Ad-Hoc and play certain stages using only one disc.
