Nintendo’s Bit Generations is a video game franchise on the Game Boy Advance. It was initially unveiled as Digitylish during the 2005 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The games in the series all have simple controls, gameplay, and visuals. Skip Ltd. created every game except Digidrive, which Q-Games produced. Only in Japan has the Bit Generations series been published. The games were divided into two “series.” Series One was launched in Japan on July 13, 2006. On July 27, 2006, Series Two was released. However, beginning June 1, 2006, Nintendo distributed 700 copies of the games to random Club Nintendo members, asking them to sample the games and share their thoughts on the Bit Generations official website. Some games were awarded an ESRB rating and labeled as part of the Digilux Series in March 2006. However, Nintendo of America has not announced a North American release date for the series. Stickers in Super Smash Bros. Brawl representing game logos revealed that the game series was meant to be launched outside of Japan under Digilux. Some games were subsequently published on the WiiWare and DSiWare services under the Art Style name. Boundish is a game in which players beat an orb back and forth between two paddles, similar to the Magnavox Odyssey game Tennis and the arcade game Pong. However, each level of the game has distinct objectives that require the user to change how the orb moves.
