The narrative of George Stobbard, an American living in Paris, who sees the theft of an ancient manuscript and the killing of the owner of the document is told in Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars, which is an adaptation of one of the most successful personal computer games in Europe. The Order of the Knights Templar penned this text in the 14th century, revealing where their mythical power has been concealed for more than six hundred years. The new owners aim to use this authority for their nefarious purposes so that they may further their goals. This version of the game recreates the graphic book style of the original, including the puzzles, settings, and characters, as well as the original soundtrack. In addition, the user interface and control scheme of the game are being redesigned to conform to the requirements of the Game Boy Advance.
