Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time & Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Prophecy

Lara discovers a text in Tomb Raider: The Prophecy that describes a force known as ‘ magic’ that would bring catastrophe to the Earth at the start of the new millennium. The prophecy also mentions three mythical stones in three parts of the Earth that would deliver catastrophe as a punishment because ‘ magic’ has long been forgotten by humans. Lara, the dynamic and curious archaeologist we all know and love, sets out on a journey to find these sacred stones, traveling across the world from Norwegian highlands to Aztec temples. In this Prince of Persia installment, you guide the young Prince on a mission to recapture the palace’s cursed rooms and restore harmony to the very fabric of Time, aided by a seductive princess and the absolute powers of the Sands of Time. You must step carefully into this realm, however, for there is only one rule: conquer the Sands or be buried. And it is these ‘Sands’ that play an essential role in the game’s plot. You must master the capacity to control Time in addition to platform-hopping, fighting, and puzzle-solving. The Prince, aided by the Sands’ powers, can perform a variety of time-manipulating maneuvers, including the Power of Revival (rewind up to two seconds), the Power of Delay (slow motion), the Power of Restraint (freeze enemies in Time), and the Power of Gathering (rebuild specific objects). Using these abilities is critical to progressing through the game, as your life gauge and several puzzles rely on them.
