Released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance, Rayman 3 (Game Boy Advance) is a portable adaptation of the same-named Rayman 3 video game that was available for home consoles. It is the first mobile Rayman game to have multiplayer modes, and those modes can be linked to the GameCube version with a connection that connects the Game Boy Advance and the GameCube. It is a 2D side-scrolling game combining components from Rayman, Rayman 2, and Rayman 3. However, the plot of Rayman 2 takes up most of the game’s focus. It is believed that it was first designed as a Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 2 and that its Rayman 3 features were added late in its production so that it could be sold as a Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3. This was done to be played on the Game Boy Advance.
