Peter Parker, a small boy abandoned by his parents when he was very young, currently resides in Queens, New York, with his aunt and uncle. When a genetically modified spider bites Peter Parker, he goes on a field trip with his high school to a research facility. Soon after, he realizes that his formerly scrawny physique has grown muscular; he now possesses extraordinary strength, and his hands strangely attach like glue to everything. These changes give him the ability to assume the identity of the superhero Spider-Man.
