Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation

It is two hundred years after the “Space Era” started when civilization began to extend into space. However, at the beginning of the twenty-first century, two meteors struck and destroyed most of the Earth, throwing humanity into disarray. By year 179 of the Space Era, the Earth Federal Government had uncovered secret Extra-Over Technology, or EOT, within a third meteor that had impacted Earth near the Marquesas Islands in the South Pacific. While studying the meteor, Dr. Bian Zoldark discovered that the Extra-Over Technology’s designers were going to Earth to retrieve it. To defend the planet, the government begins constructing a force of humanoid mecha known as Personal Troopers. The extraterrestrial civilization that developed Extra-Over Technology, known as the Aerogaters by the Earth Federal Government, assaults an Earth spacecraft sent out to investigate their presence in the outer limits of the solar system. The Aerogaters are defeated in their first combat, causing them to beg for negotiations with the Earth Federation Army. The negotiations are scheduled to take place at a secret location in Antarctica, but they are being watched by a rogue party known as the Divine Crusaders. The Divine Crusaders annihilate the Aerogater delegation before turning on the Federation military. Bian Zoldark, exposing himself to be the Divine Crusaders’ leader, discloses the existence of the Aerogaters to the globe and declares war on the Earth Government. As Earth descends into civil strife, a new Aerogater force emerges to recapture their stolen technology…
