Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files – Spirit Detective

Yusuke Urameshi was hardly a role model for Japanese schoolboys: he was a ruffian, ready to get into fights, and possibly deserved the moniker “punk.” However, Yusuke was slain one day while attempting to save a young youngster. Unlike most of us, he has been granted a second chance: if he chooses to become a “Spirit Detective,” a supernatural warrior that hunts down demons that haunt our planet, he can continue living. So the young man is back at school, with only a few people knowing about his new hidden identity. Yu Yu Hakusho: Spirit Detective is an isometric action role-playing game based on the first chapters of the Yu Hakusho manga. The player may swap between several manga and anime characters, including Yusuke, his competitor Kuwabara, his love interest Kayko, and others. Most of the game is spent accepting and performing tasks, which require tracking down and destroying certain demons. Characters can battle with their bare hands or with powerful “spirit attacks.” For defeating foes, experience points are rewarded. Once a character reaches a certain level, they can acquire additional movements (punching, kicking, etc.) and spirit attacks (up to three per character).
