Bleach: Heat the Soul 5 is the fifth episode in the Heat the Soul series based on Tite Kubo’s Bleach, and it was released in Japan on May 15, 2008. The tale picks up from the arrival of Hueco Mundo to the encounter between Grimmjow and Ichigo, much as it did in previous editions of Heat The Soul. The new features include a “Tag Action” system and a new method for unleashing zanpakuto. Bankai transformations are now made by obtaining two bars of reiatsu and pressing the L button rather than picking a character’s Bankai form before a fight. Tag action has three distinct styles: attacking, defensive, and technical. There is also a Tag Master game option that allows you to choose two characters to fight within a series of fights. The system also contains specialties that use the tagged partner’s abilities. The game includes 32 characters that may be used in Tag Battle mode, and additional characters can be gained by converting a Bleach: Heat The Soul 4 game save. These characters, however, may only be used in single mode and cannot be transformed in-game. They are chosen from a separate menu that may be accessed by pressing L/R in the usual character menu.
