Brunswick Pro Bowling is a virtual bowling alley. After creating an avatar, users battle against the machine to progress from amateur to professional. While playing, the player character will gain skill (e.g., strength, accuracy) and money. This money can be spent to purchase new apparel or a bowling ball, affecting dexterity. As the name implies, the short Play option allows for a quick round of bowling for one to four players. Making a throw differs based on the platform on which the game is played. Lining up on the alley to determine the ball’s direction remains the same, but you must also set its spin on the PlayStation 2 and PSP. The following step is to roll the ball. This is accomplished on the Wii by swinging the Wiimote and releasing the trigger button, with the release’s speed determining the ball’s spin. In the other versions, a sickle-shaped meter is displayed; pulling down on the analog stick determines the accuracy, and pushing it forward determines the strength of the release.
