Coded Arms: Contagion is the second game in the Coded Arms series and a direct sequel to the first game. The player assumes the character of special agent Jacob Grant and enters A.I.D.A, a virtual reality combat simulation software, to stabilize and enable its proper use. After the simulation program spread through Earth’s networks and became loose, humans were forced to risk their lives by digitizing their personalities in order to hack inside the system and recover the valuable data inside, which was guarded by enemies from the decommissioned military program. While experimenting now that it is contained, Jacob realizes that the program is still unstable. Coded Arms: Contagion, like its predecessor, is a first-person shooter with a variety of weaponry that may be modified with plug-ins. It is also possible to hack into turrets and turn them against their masters (by selecting an identical number from two lines of data). There are a total of thirteen missions. Multiplayer is available for up to eight players on five different maps, with Ad Hoc and Infrastructure support.
