FIFA Soccer 2009 is the ninth installment in the long-running FIFA football game series. This PSP edition differs from the high-end console and PC versions in several ways. As with previous FIFA games, you can control a team and put it through its paces game by game, season by season. In addition to the usual updated graphics and rosters, the portable version now includes the “Be a Pro” mode that the console versions have had for the previous two iterations. Be a Pro mode allows you to control a single player throughout a season and play match by match. Your performance will be evaluated after each game. You will become the captain of your team and may be called up to represent your country if you perform well. If you perform poorly, you will be given fewer games and, eventually, fired. Multiplayer games against friends can be played in infrastructure or ad hoc mode, as a standard team game, or in the new Be a Pro Mode.
