Final Fantasy: Type-0 is a role-playing game in the Final Fantasy series. It is a part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis project and, while not directly related to Final Fantasy XIII, shares its mythos. The game is a role-playing game in which the characters travel to obtain tasks and destroy enemy strongholds to complete them. Three characters from a pool of 14 are chosen in each assignment, each with unique style, weaponry, and abilities. The fighting system is an Active System fighting (ATB) that allows several characters to be controlled. Characters killed in battle must be revived in town before being employed again. Each character has a unique summon that can be used in combat for 5 minutes and can be leveled up. As it is known, the ATB kai lets up to three players connect ad hoc and send emergency backups to each other. The world of Orience is divided into four kingdoms: the Suzaku Fiefdom of Rubrum, the Milites Empire, the Lorican Alliance, and the Kingdom of Concordia, each with their emblem based on four Japanese mythological beasts: the phoenix Suzaku, the turtle Genbu, the tiger Byakko, and the dragon Seiryuu. Every kingdom possesses l’Cie, a crystal that may be used to identify people as their servants. Character development is based on the Alto Crystarium system, which uses phantom energy to improve the character’s powers. Final Fantasy: Type-0 HD is the title of the subsequently released PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions. Instead of the Japan-only PSP version, they are available worldwide. The material is nearly identical, emphasizing localization and random images. It lacks the multiplayer capability of the PSP version but adds new difficulty levels.
