Full Auto 2: Battlelines is the sequel to the auto-racing combat game Full Auto, which premiered on the Xbox 360 in February 2006. The PSP version of the sequel expands on the PS3 version. Still, it loses a few features for obvious reasons, resulting in less detailed settings, more basic damage modeling on the cars, and fewer multiplayer modes. This edition includes additional gaming modes, automobiles, weaponry, and a new storyline. The gameplay is reminiscent of a cross between Burnout and Twisted Metal. The Twisted Metal-style combat gameplay is more prominent in the PSP edition. Winning a race is rarely the purpose of most events; the game is focused on the devastation. The objectives vary from level to level, but they usually involve killing a certain number of adversaries or blowing up selected targets, random items, or incoming vehicles. Unlike the PS3 version, each objective must be fulfilled to win the event. There are two general game modes in the game: Racing and Arena. The ‘Unwreck’ feature, which allows the player to rewind time, is also included. The environment, on the other hand, is significantly less engaging. Only a few objects can be damaged, such as a lead pipe that lands on chasing cars. Most damage is done to storefronts, bus stations, trash cans, etc. Ad Hoc multiplayer is available for four players in the game. In multiplayer modes such as Head-On, Down & Back, and Arena Deathmatch, players can race or battle in a free-for-all arena or as part of a team.
