Everybody’s Tennis is essentially a port of Everybody’s Tennis for the PlayStation 2, but with several gameplay additions, such as a story: the player is tasked with bringing the “Happy Tennis Club” to international fame. To advance the plot, he walks around the tennis courts and other locations, talks to people, and plays matches. Every character has benefits and drawbacks; some of them – essentially bosses – are unlocked after defeating them. Victories and other achievements grant experience points, which help athletes improve their stamina and accuracy. Some many new clothes and accessories provide benefits and can be purchased with prize money. The game is very arcade oriented, meaning the player only needs to be in the correct position to hit the ball and have good timing. The player can also select between different shot variants by pressing the assigned buttons. The story mode is the only playable mode, allowing players to create non-plot matches and multiplayer games.
