The handheld editions of LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (the LEGO version of the 2008 CGI-animated TV series of the same name) play similarly to their home console counterparts while retaining family-friendly content. The games feature 13 levels (based on the first and second seasons of the TV show), most of which follow the same platform puzzle-solving layout as previous LEGO video game efforts (while defeating a multitude of droids along the way as well as other familiar foes). Most levels also take place in flight mode, with players completing missions such as defeating an army of vulture droids. Each class is divided into three acts (which are then available to play separately as part of Free Play mode). In contrast to previous LEGO Star Wars games, Jedi characters can now climb walls with their lightsabers, trace shapes, and even use the Jedi Force jump to reach greater heights. While Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Ahsoka Tano are the main characters in Story mode, additional characters can be unlocked later in Free Play to reveal hidden minikit pieces and Red Bricks. These versions also include several minigames, such as Snowball Fight (in which you must use snowballs to defeat various characters from the Clone Wars universe) and Droid Volleyball (in which you play a volleyball game with R2-D2 and R3-S6), which require a Red Brick to unlock.
