Love Once

L@ve Once (sometimes spelled “love at once”) is a visual romance novel about a boy named Shouji Takanashi ( ) whose mother is a mermaid. He had met mermaids as a child but had forgotten about them. His father dies one day, and not long after, two sisters who are also mermaids arrive at his home. Mei and Meru are their names. He can only fall in love once as the son of a mermaid, and a shattered heart would end him. He will hopefully be able to discover his true love with the assistance of Mei and Meru. The game was developed for the PSP and is a light visual novel with no adult content. A year later, the game was converted to the PlayStation 3 with some tweaks and new content as L@ve Once: Mermaid’s Tears. Limited edition releases on both platforms include supplementary content such as audio drama, artbook, or music.
