Madden NFL 06

With the release of Madden NFL 06, the Madden franchise makes its debut on the PlayStation Portable. It is based on the contemporary console version. It adapts parts of its modes for play on the handheld, removes some of its other ways, and adds other unique elements, including various minigames. Several gameplay modes are available: exhibition games, wireless head-to-head play (online or ad-hoc), practice, and franchise. Several game modes and features available on the console versions of Madden NFL have not been ported over to the mobile version. They include the owner mode, superstar mode, Madden Cards, the ability to create teams, and the option to challenge plays. Although the new gameplay elements, quarterback vision and hit stick, are not included in the PSP version (due to the absence of a second analog stick), precision passing is playable in this iteration. It is possible to move franchise games from PS2 to PSP and vice versa. This allows one to play one set of fun at home and another collection of fun on the road, with results available on both systems. The game also features connectivity to the PS2 version. The Mini Camp option available on the console version has been enhanced, and it now offers 10 unique minigames that may be played independently or in a head-to-head match. An assistant coach mode is another feature that can only be found on the PSP.
