Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s Portable: The Battle of Aces

Following the conclusion of the final Book of Darkness crisis, Nanoha Takamachi and Fate Testarossa refuse to send Reinforce away to ensure that the Book’s regeneration program does not harm anyone again. This, however, indicates that the relics of the Book of Darkness (Yami no Sho no Kansai) will soon return, forcing Nanoha and her comrades to confront them. These relics are warped, dark replicas of natural persons known as “dark fragments” (Yami no kakera). In addition to Nanoha, Fate, and Hayate’s dark copies, they will shortly face the three considerably more powerful and dangerous clones known as “Material.” To develop their narratives, each playable character must confront and beat the clones of their companions. Except for the Materials, each playable character has a plot path in the game. Every course follows the same basic structure: the player must first complete a training session, then beat the dark clones of two of their best friends, one Material boss, two more friends’ clones, and finally, a Material boss version of themself.
