It is the year 2016. Unknown terrorists hijack an airplane. Senator Hach, a critical US politician who could be the country’s next president, is on board the plane. The terrorists want something from the US government in exchange for the senator. You don’t know what that something is, but it goes under the code name “Pythagoras.” Because the government does not intend to hand it over to the terrorists, it dispatches you, the famous special agent Solid Snake, to rescue the senator and discover who is behind the hijacking. “Metal Gear Acid” is set in the familiar universe and looks similar to the series’ PS2 titles, but its gameplay is quite different from the others. The traditional stealth gameplay of “Metal Gear Acid” is combined with strategy. It is a turn-based game in which you plan turns by selecting playing cards from your deck. Each card represents an action, such as attacking, moving, etc. You must carefully plan your activities to remain undetected and decide which cards you want to keep for the next round and which you are willing to sacrifice to make an efficient move immediately.
