“A True Delight for Avid Followers” One Piece: Romantic Dawn Preface: This game is still exclusive to the Japanese market. As I can read Japanese, this was not a problem while playing the game. But, for the sake of this review, I will assume that you can either read Japanese or use a translation patch to stand what the characters are saying in the game. Playing the game in a language unfamiliar to you will undoubtedly result in a completely different gaming experience. Because of this, I believe that at least three points should reduce the score unless you find such unusual obstacles enjoyable. Romantic Dawn is the first full-fledged turn-based role-playing game (RPG) to cover a sizeable chunk of the actual tale of One Piece. Its name comes from the first chapter of the continuing manga series One Piece, published for decades (and not a non-canon story, as with real-time RPGs Unlimited Adventure and Unlimited Cruise). If you’re a fan of the One Piece series, this facet of Romantic Dawn will make your time spent playing the game worthwhile. The gameplay aspects on their make for a simplistic role-playing game, but the One Piece coat of paint does an excellent job of doing its job.
