Jack Driscoll, a playwright, accompanies Carl Dernham, a filmmaker, and Ann Darrow, an actress, to Skull Island, where Dernham plans to shoot his next movie. Ann Darrow plays Jack’s wife. But primitive beings such as dinosaurs, colossal insects, and King Kong are waiting for them. King Kong is a video game based on Peter Jackson’s reimagining of the original from 2005, in which the player assumes the roles of Jack Driscoll and Kong. Skull Island serves as the backdrop for HUD-free first-person shooter levels starring Jack. Jack is tasked with eliminating or driving out the wildlife that inhabits Skull Island by employing a wide range of weaponry, traps, and fire. The Kong levels are third-person brawlers that take place on Skull Island and in New York City. At these levels, Kong must solve puzzles to overcome environmental barriers and defeat his opponents. Several sections were included in the console and PC editions but were omitted from the PSP version because it is condensed.
