Rengoku: The Tower of Purgatory

In Rengoku, the player controls A.D.A.M. (Autonomous Dueling Armed Machine), an android created by humanity for war purposes. Still, once peace is achieved, the androids are placed in a Purgatory tower, where they compete in a series of gladiator-style fights. When the A.D.A.M. that the player controls develops an electronic soul and attempts to flee, the humans, realizing what has happened, send the other androids into the tower on a mission to destroy him. The gameplay is primarily a shooting game with RPG elements. There are several levels to complete, each becoming more difficult as there are more androids to destroy. Destroying them will strengthen the android and allow it to upgrade its weaponry. Starting with bare hands and gradually progressing to weapons, but unlike other games, the guns are mounted to the android himself, with weapons coming from its hands, arms, legs, and forehead, and the ability to use multiple weapons simultaneously.
