Telly Addicts

Telly Addicts is a game for one or two people based on the same-named UK TV series that ran in the mid to late 1980s. The game follows the television series format, with six rounds of multiple-choice questions, all based on old television shows. Each successfully answered question earns a point, and the player with the most points wins the multiplayer game. The game’s rounds are as follows: Screen Test – The player has six television displays from which to choose three. Following each option, an image and a TV tri, via question, are presented. Classic Clips – A short video snippet from a television program is shown, followed by three relevant questions. Spotlight Round consists of five questions that must be answered in ten seconds. The reveal round begins with a grainy image that gradually grows clearer; however, the sharper the tincture, the fewer points are scored. Guess The Year – The player is shown a picture and asked, “When did this first appear on TV?” They are given the decade as a help and must just select the relevant year. A couple of trivia questions about the topic follow this. A spinner selects a category, and the player must answer a question connected to that topic. The game incorporates the original host, Noel Edmonds, who introduces each Round and inquiry and clips and images from popular UK and US television shows.
