The puzzle game series Ultimate Block Party, also known as Kollon () in Japan and Koloomn in Europe, requires players to remove blocks from the playing field. Often, fresh rows of blocks will appear on top of the ones already there. If the player does not clear enough blocks within the allotted time, the blocks will rise to the top of the screen, at which point the game will be over for them. If at least four blocks of the same hue are touching, those blocks can be removed from the board. The length of time spent playing the game will increase the rate at which new rows are generated. Those above them will be knocked down and cleared away when certain blocks are removed. The game can be played in various settings, including multiplayer and arcade modes. The brand has spawned video games for the arcade, the PlayStation Portable (PSP), and mobile phones (EZweb and Yahoo! Keitai, respectively). On June 22, 2006, a second PSP Kollon game with the same name, dubbed Korokoro Kollon (), was made available in Japan.
