In SEGA’s arcade tennis series’ PSP entry, you can compete in tournaments against professional players, practice in exhibition matches, and take part in a world tour where you can create and fully customize your star. All popular moves (topspin, lob, slice, smash, serve, drop shot, and aftertouch) are available, and different surfaces affect how the ball bounces and its speed. In doubles matches, you can also command the computer-controlled partner. In the world tour, you construct a house on the world map and then travel to various events to establish your reputation. The tour calendar stores the critical events. You can purchase new equipment, partner contracts, stage contracts, and improve your skills. Mini-games are used for training, where specific skills are tested and improved. These enjoyable games with tanks, pins, aliens, and discs help to develop specific skills such as footwork, strokes, volleys, and serve. In addition to training games, there are ball games like Blockbuster, Fruit Dash, Blocker, and Balloon Smash, in which you use your tennis skills in various environments. There are fourteen licensed tennis stars (seven women and seven men). Although single mixed matches are not permitted, mixed doubles matches are allowed. Four players can play simultaneously in multiplayer mode via Wi-Fi (Ad Hoc).
