The player takes control of a motorcycle and must compete in races across various terrains and circumstances. Each motorcycle in the game has a unique handling style, with some excelling on paved roads and others excelling on rougher terrain. There are several modes to choose from, including Grand Prix (GP), Motocross, and Traffic. The Grand Prix is held at a variety of venues across the world on asphalt circuits, including San Francisco and Russia. The paved tracks necessitate that the player learn how to apply their brakes efficiently at curves. The GP courses differ slightly, adding diversity to the game’s courses. Motocross demands the player master the act of “power sliding” around curves and driving on off-road terrain. Motocross courses are less friendly, generally occurring in dry and unkempt locations with obstacles. Traffic combines GP and Motocross with pavement courses and roadway traffic that act as obstacles.
