Neon Genesis Evangelion: Girlfriend of Steel

Mana Kirishima, a bashful female character, is introduced when the story begins at Shinji Ikari’s school, and instantly admits to finding him cute. A bond develops between them over time, and eventually, they wind up going on a date together. However, it turns out that she is one of three test pilots for the TRIDENT units, a new challenger to the Evangelions and akin to Jet Alone; this is where the term Girlfriend of Steel comes from.
