Pangya: Fantasy Golf

Pangya Island is a bright, colorful place where a hero saved the world from destruction ages ago by using a magical lance to strike a magic ball into a hole through which the planet’s life energy was being drained. The people of Pangya Island now play a game called Pangya, based on how the legendary hero saved the world – a game that happens to play almost exactly like golf. Pangya is a typical golf title in many ways. It is based on the free-to-play online game PangYa and includes nine courses from the PC game. However, there are a few differences from regular golf: players can use a variety of items and special abilities to give their shots properties that would be impossible in real life, and skilled play will accrue a currency called Pang, which can be used to purchase items, equipment, some of the hundreds of outfits, or even gamble for super-rare items. The Story Mode is the game’s primary focus. The player takes on the role of many of the 18 unlockable characters in a story involving a mysterious boy named Kaz and various nefarious elements threatening Pangya Island. There’s also the Pangya Tour mode, which has two components: License mode requires the player to complete different challenges on each course to earn licenses, after which the player can participate in Tournament Mode, which features 9 and 18-hole tournaments for valuable prizes. Finally, an ad-hoc wireless mode for up to four players is available.
