Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines is a PSP-exclusive game that continues the story of the first Assassin’s Creed game while laying the groundwork for the sequel, Assassin’s Creed II. Unlike the Assassin’s Creed: Altar’s Chronicles spin-off for mobile and portable devices, it retains the original game’s open-world and nonlinear gameplay. The game takes place one month after the first game’s events in Limassol and Kyrenia on the island of Cyprus. The Templars have moved there, and Altar has followed them to find out their plans and eliminate them all if possible. Armand Bouchart, Grand Master of the Templars, is the main antagonist. He is hunting for the apple of Eden, allowing him to control the minds of anyone he chooses. The gameplay is similar to that of the original Assassin’s Creed. Altar can freely move through each city in the familiar parkour style based on stealth and sneaking up on targets. Players can also have Altar fight in from the street and enter through the front door. Altar’s arsenal includes melee (usually non-lethal) fists, his signature sleeve sword, and a longsword. Bloodlines also includes PS3 USB connectivity, allowing you to unlock six new weapons in Assasin’s Creed II when your PSP is connected to your PS3. These are also usable in the PSP version. Furthermore, any Templar coins found in Bloodlines are carried over to Assassin’s Creed II, and codex pages will grant you a health boost.
